1940 Buick Roadmaster

If you’ve seen the giant mural in downtown Brodhead, heading south on Highway 11, the car in the middle of the painting is Stan & Selma Knight’s 1940 Buick Roadmaster, delivered from the factory with all the available options. That car is currently on loan to the Kelch Aviation Museum by the Knight family. We took it out for a drive today and decided to pose in front of the mural.
In 1945, Stan Knight founded Knight Manufacturing, which is now Kuhn North America, one of Brodhead’s largest employers. Stop by the museum to see this beautiful old car. We’re open Wednesday through Sunday, 10-4, year round.
