Fleet Taxi Test

The museum hosted visitors from all around the world last weekend, and we took advantage of an appearance by Cam Harrod of Ontario, renowned pilot and restorer of Fleet airplanes. Our Fleet Model 7 had new brakes installed last month, and needed a good taxi test from an experienced pilot to make sure they were adjusted properly.

Interesting fact: Canadian and American Fleet biplanes (In Canada, they’re called Finches) have opposite fuel control movements. Once Cam remembered he was in America, the Model 7 started right up and ran well. Thank you, Cam!
