Rose Parrakeet Hung From the Ceiling

Today the museum’s Rose Parrakeet was hung from the ceiling in the new Atrium. The aircraft builder and donor Larry Steentry was on hand to make sure we didn’t break anything, and after a few test lifts, our crew of volunteers added this cornerstone piece to our new space. It sure grabs your attention when you walk through the door, and it looks pretty cool from outside the glass too.
We have more displays to finish up before we open our doors again next week on March 1. See you all soon!
Special thanks to our crew…Kerry, Larry, Larry, Larry (yes, there were three Larry’s) Joe, Ami, Kent, and Pat.
